What is a Faculty Associate?

The Faculty Associate program is sponsored by Residential Life, and is designed to give students significant and meaningful interactions with faculty outside of the classroom setting. In Thomas Eliot House, there is one Faculty Associate per floor. There is also a Faculty Associate working with the sophomore and junior students in Hitzeman, Hurd, and Myers. Each Faculty Associate has a unique relationship with their students. They may plan an event for the floor/building, bring cookies, attend a floor outing or dinner, etc. - the possibilities are endless. Faculty Associates are encouraged to share their own interests with the residents, both personal and academic. All Faculty Associates are volunteers who want to spend extra time getting to know students - they are great resources, please plan to get to know them!
