What is a Resident Assistant (RA)?

Your RA will be an integral part of your student experience at Washington University. RAs are junior or senior students who are in charge of overseeing a floor or building. RAs are in charge of helping the residents create a positive living community, planning events for the floor or building, and assist with any resident issues or problems that may arise throughout the year. RAs are excellent resources for you, and they can help you with just about anything you might need. In Thomas Eliot, there are two RAs per floor, except on the ground floor where there is one. In Hitzeman, Hurd, and Myers, there are two RAs per building.
