What is a Residential College Director (RCD)?

An RCD is a full-time student services professional with significant experience in residential life and college student development. RCDs manage the day-to-day operations of a Residential College and supervise the Resident Assistant (RA) staff. RCDs also assist students in the development of activities and programs and handle a wide variety of student concerns and conduct. RCDs have their offices in the residential area they oversee and live in an apartment in the residential area as well.
